Childcare Tax Credits

I will sponsor tax credits worth up to $5,000 for people who live in rural Oregon and work in childcare. 

Credits like these work. When the Rural Practitioner Tax Credit was initiated, it ushered in a wave of talented medical workers in rural Oregon who seized upon the $5,000 tax credit.

Childcare is too hard to find. And when an employee gets sick, a parent is forced to take a week of vacation to look after their child. Tax credits will bolster the childcare job market, making it more affordable and accessible.
